India is largest producer and exporter of the Bajra/Millet. Millet is most important cereal crop in India. Rajastan state is largest producer of Millet. The other major producing states are Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Millet is one of the most nutritious and easily digested of all grains. Millet is very rich in amino acids. It is used both as food for human and feed for animals. It is also used to make bread, soup, biscuits, flour, cakes, alcoholic beverages etc.
